Crafted with refined elegance
this stunning Bar Brooch
is dating from Edwardian (circa 1920's) period,
yet it's in beautiful condition
Of lovely bar design,
it centres a claw-set Australian Black Opal
of quite impressive size of 14mm x 6.5mm,
which is approx. 2.50ct,
of Australian origin,
displaying the superb & truly unique spectrum of colours:
from vivid Lapis - Indigo Blue to mesmerising Emerald Green
with flashes of striking orange & yellow
It's Natural, of type 1,
meaning that it hasn't been treated or enhanced &
that it's solid precious opal, that displays "play of colours"
on a background of the same chemical composition
The beauty of this spectacular opal is truly dazzling,
particularly under different lightings:
the gem displays the most magnificent spectrum
The gem is of oval cabochon shape & of black body tone
50mm long,
the brooch is performed in 15K Yellow Gold
It features an indistinct mark to the back,
completed by pin & safety chain
