coming from the same – Edwardian – period:
 
Fine & Rare (possibly unique) LOCKET, 
shaped as Shield, symbolizing protection against evils
opens up as a book to reveal photo compartments, 
which could fit up to 6 photos 
(2 front compartments are missing a glass, but still can be used)
 
Coming from an Edwardian period, 
this intricate piece survived in beautiful original & 
overall good condition 
 
Gold-filled, the locket is set (from both sides) 
with a Black Onyx Panels, 
each featuring a golden dot to the centre 
 
With ornate finely engraved edge & superbly detailed bail 
Locket secures / closes down with an exquisitely designed lock 
 
The piece measures 24mm x 35mm (including the bail)
