This brooch was crafted by Australian jewellers 
Lamborn and Wagner (founded in Melbourne in 1858), 
whose work is highly sought after today.
They were one of the earliest manufacturing jewellers in Australia
 
Despite dating from late Victorian period – c1885,
the brooch is in a beautiful condition
 
Hardstone Brooch is finely carved,
depicting a profile of a Greek Goddess,  
incredibly detailed, 
within a 15K Yellow Gold elaborate decorative border
of foliate motif, embellished with 4 seed pearls
 
34mm in diameter, 
the brooch secures with pin & safety clasp
