Fine & Rare 1946 Mexican 50 Pesos "Centenario" 21K Gold Coin

The 50 Peso Gold Coin, also known as the "Centenario," 
was first issued in 1921 to mark the 100th anniversary of Mexico's independence from Spain. 
It contains 37.5 grams of pure gold – “oro puro” and was minted by the Mexican Mint.
 
The coin's design showcases "The Angel of Independence" or "Winged Victory" on the front, 
holding a laurel wreath in her right hand and broken chains in her left. 
The background features several of Mexico's iconic volcanoes. 
The inscriptions "50 Pesos" and "37.5 Gr. Oro Puro" are displayed on either side, 
with the mint year at the bottom.
 
On the reverse, the Mexican coat of arms is shown, depicting an eagle perched on a cactus, 
holding a serpent in its beak. Surrounding this image are the words "Estados Unidos Mexicanos."
